InXile Entertainment went live on the 5th of October with their Fig campaign for the next installment of the Wasteland series, Wasteland 3. Three days after Wasteland 3 had been fully funded with it’s stretch goals revealed, and around three days after that it’s first stretch goals was achieved.
Wasteland 3 needed funding for $2.75 million, at the time of this post it currently sits at a tiny bit over $2.9 million, with a near 15 thousand backers. And nearing it’s 2nd stretch goal of £3 million which will unlock ‘Car Companion (Codename: Morningstar)’.
The stretch goal it just met at $2.85 million means that players will get access to 37 ‘Pieces of Flair’, this means that you will “further Ranger customization, which could include multiple body types, more heads, and more hairstyles. Plus we’ll show items that your Ranger has equipped (gear like shovels, binoculars, etc) on their models”.
Wasteland 3 is setting up to meat all it’s stretch goals by the end of it’s campaign, which will be in another 22 days. I have already backed the project, and excitedly look at what other stretch goals, if any, they add making the games much more impressive than Wasteland 2 was.
My hopes is that it will be fully voice acted from the get go and we don’t get a directors cut like Wasteland 2 adding it later. We will see in due time as Wasteland 3 is set for release in Q4 of 2019, expect constant updates on the title until it’s release.
